Misty Christmas Eve

Rained today. No reason to go out.
No to last minute shopping. No to crazy traffic. Yes to escaping the insanity.

We're having a relaxing eve.
Vintage Christmas movies have been played.
Our traditional Italian seafood eve meal has been eaten (made by the hubs - incredibly delicious).
Banana bread, cooled just enough to dig into after dinner, has been served with frothy cappuccino.

We took Mom to Lewis Ginter Garden Fest of Lights two weekends ago. I prefer to go just before the sun sets rather than when it gets too dark (better for photographs :), so we go early and then stay a little while after the sun sets so everyone gets the full experience.
