New Kent Winery

On Sunday we decided to head out for a few hours to decompress.
Skies were sunny.
Weather was cool.
Signs of spring all over the place.
Hey...a perfect day for a wine tasting!

New Kent Winery is in a rural area. The drive was relaxing and the pastoral scenery along the way was lovely. The Winery is on a beautiful piece of land surrounded by rolling hills filled with acres of sculptural, bare grapevines (the vines don't start to leaf out until it gets warmer). The wine was wonderfully delicious!  We bought several bottles.

Virginia wines are really growing on us. We love buying great wines from local vineyards.
