Elk

The place where I work has the most amazing herd of elk on the property.

The current herd's ancestors date back to 1887 when they were first put on the land by the owner, a Canadian agriculturist, James Bellwood.

The Army purchased the property in 1941 - along with the "Bellwood" elk herd. The herd is lovingly cared for and nurtured. Two new babies were just born in May!
